I"m looking for popular movies with bi-racial couples. (as you can see from my clever title) More specifically, ones where the man is black. The only ones I can think of are:

Monster's Ball (african american female)
The Bodyguard (a.a. female)
Austin Powers (a.a. female)

Thanks

Where are all the black men?

Wesley Snipes was with an Asian woman in One Night Stand.

That's what I want to know. I want to have a white married woman have an affair with a black man. I was trying to think of a man between 25-35 and I could only come up with Taye Diggs or Tyson Beckford and I'm not really crazy about either. I need a male Halle Berry.

Thanks for the link! It makes me feel like it's not a good idea to do it. But I don't care.

Maybe Derek Jeter....

Are you kidding??? It sounds steamy...go for it. Question, are you writing a screenplay???

Definitely go for a Wesley Snipes type....he has adultery written all over his face, and tax evasion. :)

I think it sounds good too! Yes, I'm writing a screenplay. Sometimes it helps me to have a face in mind when writing.

Guess Who's Coming to Dinner is a classic.

Blair Underwood is a handsome black man, if you're looking for a less muscular, more average-good-looking-joe type :)

You know, I was thinking about him. I wish he was 10 years younger--he's 43. (because then, you know, I'd definitely cast him in my movie.) I think he was on Sex and the City, too. He is cute.

I'm a new fan of his. So steamy. Do you catch him in New Christine?

Guess Who is Coming to Dinner

1967 (I believe) and starring Sidney Poitier. Good flick and one of the first of its kind, perhaps the first. Guess Who, a recent remake, doesn't hold a candle to the original (as is oftent he case).

Also have a look at the original version of Hairspray -- Penny Pingleton is white, and her boyfriend (what was his name? Cricket?) is black.

I haven't seen the remake (and probably won't), but the original is fabulous: Divine, Sonny Bono, Debbie Harry, and a pre-fame Rikki Lake.

I can remember a movie called Mandingo that came out in the 70's. It took place in the old south and the plantation owners wife has an affair with one of the slaves. I believe Kenny Norton the boxer, played the slave. I just remember it was pretty controversial at the time.

Outside the film world, there's also Madame Butterfly (and Miss Saigon, which is nearly exactly the same plot).

In the T.V show Judging Amy, the judge came very close to having an affair with her black bailiff. He was HOT.

Yes, I think Jungle Fever is what you're looking for.
There's Guess Who? though it involves a white man (Ashton Kutcher) and a black woman (Zoe Saldana).
And in Malcolm X Malcolm (Denzel Washington) dates a white woman.

I wouldn't say this if I didn't see it for myself, This new movie is great, maybe better than the original because of it's pace. Worth a look...
