Ok so I was poking around harlequin's website and I found another contest that ends on the 29th and I thought about entering it. But I'm not entirely sure I get what they are asking for. Here is the description:

The secret: it can be the hook that draws us into a book, or it can be revealed only at the heart-wrenching climax. Whether it is keeping the hero and heroine apart—or together—the secret often comes to light at a key moment in the story, accompanied by that rush of emotional intensity that readers crave.

Has the hero just made a decision to keep something important to himself? Has the heroine been caught in a web of lies? Has a character made a deliberate decision to come clean at last? A scene dealing with a life-altering secret can be one that reveals insights into the characters and when written well, can even be the backbone of an entire story.

We challenge you to write a scene surrounding a significant secret that somehow affects the main characters and their story. Be as creative and original as you like—remember, there are all kinds of secrets, and not all of them are ever discovered!

Are they asking for a scene where the person decides to keep a secret, or when the secret comes out, or either or? Or what? lol. It sounds like it could be either or...but I want to make sure.

Here we go again. A contest I'd love to enter, but of course, I live in the UK now. I really wish they'd open some of these contests up to everyone!

Do you mean that us UK residents can't enter?
Cute baby btw! :)

Harimum-
Yeah. If you go to the official rules it says 'contest open to US residents only' or something to that effect.
And thanks! That little cutie is my son, Hunter. He's 5 weeks in that picture, it was taken 2 weeks ago when he first got his sunglasses. Brilliant, aren't they? 95p at Asda! Gotta love the Wal-Mart corporation.
