We haven't done this for awhile, and I just opened my August RWA, so I thought I'd congratulate the latest batch of first sales of books to stimulate you all and get you excited that YES! Real people really sell debut books! :D

Thanks Cathy! Although I do wish that they hadn't altered my wording from "This is her first sale to an RWA approved publisher; she has since made four more sales to Ellora's Cave" to "This is the fourth novel she completed before selling."

Because, um, it was the second.

But oh well. :)

My first sale actually showed up in this month's Locus. Which totally threw me for a loop, because I thought my book was more women's fiction than actual urban fantasy, but I'll take it!

It was really exciting to see. :)

I *wish* that I warranted a full article! Unfortunately it's just a small paragraph under the 'sales' column. I forget the header of it.

I actually had to have someone send me a scan of it because I didn't have the magazine. Sad. :)

As you can see, just a very VERY small mention, but it made me giddy nevertheless!
