Hey guys and gals I need some advice or help.

I need to place a simple transition. Basically 1 year surpasses. So I thought I would do a 1 Year later.

Do I set it up as a Scene Heading or Action or other?

I was trying to think of some scripts that had them. The only thing that came to mind was Chronicles of Riddick when they do the Planet Change.

Any help is much appreciated.

I was going to do it as a Scene heading but just wanted some opinions.

Thanks
Jerm

Well, the question is, is this simply something that you want to convey to the reader, in which case, you can simply put it in the slug line.

EXT. THE RANCH - DAY - ONE YEAR LATER

Or is it something that you want to convey to the audience as well?

In which case, you'd do it something like this.

EXT. THE RANCH - DAY

SUPER TITLE: "ONE YEAR LATER"

There is also the 'show, don't tell option', where the main character, once clean shaven has a full beard, or the changing of seasons from winter to spring, etc., etc., and back to winter again.

INT. BEDROOM

Jake pulls down his 2006 Victoria's Secret calendar, pausing only long enough to deeply inhale October. He hangs up the 2007 Girls of Maxim calendar.
