I recently heard from my GF that the most recent HP film (Phoenix) contains 20 mins. of 3D. I was stunned when I heard this. I am sure that this would have been mentioned in the English-language marketing campaigns, and mentioned by the members here. But nothing.

Have I missed something? Is there any 3D in the latest HP film or any planned for either 6 or 7?

Thanks. I would guess then that 'ordinary' dvds don't have this then. Is this correct?

And while they were in 3D... they weren't THAT much more impressive. But it was a neat look into the future. Someday all films could look like that.

Because they didn't really go for the cheesy "stuff flying at you" thing most 3d movies do. Instead... the finale of the film had significantly more depth and clarity, each character existing on his or her own, literally standing out from the backgrounds and each other.

Maybe the HD or Blu Ray of 'Phoenix' will have a 3D option. In any case, they gotta do something about those glasses.

Only on IMAX. But yes, the last 20 minutes (except the denouement) is in 3D. Possibly more in 6 and 7.

Just curious. In the US, what is the price of a regular ticket for a film shown at/on IMAX?

Thanks.
