Hey, John. I wrote a tall dog essay. (Not really, but I could. Mine's grown tall enough that I wonder if his indefinite listing privilege might not be definite should officials get near him with a yardstick.)

Your Beagle named Bugle made me think of a friend who debated between the names Struedel and Noodle for her new Poodle. I also knew a guy with an Irish Wolfhound named Kitty. And I knew a cat named Dog, but never a dog named Dog.

LMITE sounds like a very fresh read. I'm looking forward to it.

What a wonderful short tail (tale) about naming dogs. The one I lost recently was christened Dude by our son. Dude was the best dang dog we ever had, and is sorely missed.

I think it's a cool idea to write an essay about your great experiences with your best pal. Always try to write and share something new as this is a good way to develop more of your writing skills.

That's great John. Just learned today that my sister's dog, Nancy (now how's that for a dog name) died in her sleep last night. She was a rescue dachshund, originally a breeder and she was ditched by the breeders when she started giving birth to only one pup, per litter. Can you imagine?

Good piece! I tried to leave a post on your blog, but it wouldn't let me sign up.

Just wanted to say my hubby names all our dogs. We had a Keeshond name Talbot - why? He looked like a wolf - Lawrence Talbot was the werewolf in all those old movies, so....

My son has a dog named "Little Bear" after the children's book character. He named him as a puppy. Little Bear is now over 100 pounds. We just call him Bear.
