Well, my Molly went to the Rainbow bridge to join her brother last night. She was very skinny but just did not want to eat. When she started vomiting, we knew it was time. I am so bless to have a wonderful house call vet. I called Alice, the vet and she told me she'd come out in the evening to help us. She and her hubby arrived about 5:30 last night. We held Molly, said good bye and let her go. I miss her terribly but knew she isn't in pain any more and is running and playing with her brother Clarkie at the Rainbow bridge. I lost two dogs withing three weeks and it's killing me. They gave me so much joy and love and I'm trying to remember that but...it's very hard. I still have my five-year-old Tara and she's getting lots of hugs and kisses. Thanks for all your helpful suggestions on feeding my old girl. They helped, but she knew it was time to go, so we let her.

I went through this in January. It was the worst pain I've ever experienced.

I only waited about a month to get another dog because my daughter lost 2 within three weeks. The one at my house she grew up with and the one at her moms she had for a couple of years. Mine had cancer and I had to put her to sleep. The other one dug under a fence and was run over by a car. That last couple of days was horrible...she wouldn't eat, couldn't drink anything. She would dry heave if you even brought water up to her nose.

Just to say I know how it feels. It will get better but it sucks right now I know.

I summer at PetSmart and winter at the Vet's
We had to make the same decision this past February. For our Cerise, it was quick and painless; for us, less so. We still miss her.

Ol' Fashioned Girl said it right: the greatest gift you can give sometimes is letting them go.

It's amazing how much joy and love and comfort our companions bring to us. And it's amazing how much it hurts when they go. But every cherished memory will one day outweigh the heartache you feel now.

I lost my dog recently after he bite my nephew. Had no choice than to put him down. But, gosh, it hurts. My heart goes out to you...
