What shows are you dying to have start up again in the fall...and were you lucky enough to find something to watch during the "off time"?

I'm looking forward to Damages on FX which starts tomorrow.

CSI - the original. I want to know if Sara lives or dies...

In the meantime - I'm watching Rescue Me (which has actually been kind of disappointing this season.) And Ghosthunters - which hasn't been at all disappointing :D

Last night I on-demanded the first four episodes of HBO's "Flight of the Conchords." Man, is it hysterical! I can't wait to watch them again and again.

I won't even try to describe it. Just watch it.

I can't wait for Grey's Anatomy to start again. And Lost, of course. Oh, and Survivor.

I've been watching Ghosthunters, Top Chef , Man vs. Wild, Intervention, Ice Road Truckers, Confessions of a Matchmaker. Geez...It's a good thing I've got a DVR...that's a lot of tv watching for summer! :)

I'm dying for: Dexter, Nip/Tuck, House, Grey's Anatomy, and Bones.

Summer television pretty much sucks a donkey wang--except maybe for The Closer.

The only show I watch that's actually returning in the fall is Grey's Anatomy, but I feel like I could wait awhile for that to return.

I would like it for Lost to return in the fall, but that won't be until January.

My summer television's over. I was watching World Series of Pop Culture. It's books from now on.

Funny, I'm not as gung-ho about it either. The season finale left me feeling really "meh."

My wife used to love Grey's Anatomy, but Isaah Washington was her fav actor on the show and he got canned. I didnt like the fact that they are trying to capitalize the success of this show by making a spinnoff...kinda makes me feel like the exec's are manipulating the veiwers of the show.

Oh yeah, I can not wait till the next season of Dexter as well!

Not really looking forward to much except Jericho and Numb3rs and that's really about it. As for 24 I think it's time to either change locations or put it to rest.

I forgot about Jericho...I missed several of the later episodes last season. I need to watch them before this season starts.

I'm not sure if I like Damages or not. I love Glenn Close, love Ted Danson, even Tate Donovan is good.

But the female main character, I want to hit with a stick. I can't freakin' stand her.

This doesn't bode well for me watching the rest of the season.

I don't watch much TV anymore, and most of the shows I did watch ended over the past year or so....so I'm not really looking forward to anything this fall.

I think my main problem with fall shows is this: Some shows look good but if the ratings aren't immediately there they get axed and then I've wasted my time on the wrong show! Others shows seemingly start off slow, but amazingly stick around, and by the time it catches my eye, I've already missed half a season (or more), and by then, I'd rather wait until it comes out on DVD and rent it for free from our local library. (I've done this with the first few seasons of 24 - I can't imagine watching the show 'live' now - I'd much rather watch it 3-4 episodes at a time!) House, Deadwood, Sopranos, Lost and quite a few more I haven't gotten around to viewing yet are all at my local library so it's much cheaper and easier to watch them that way.

For what it's worth though, New Amsterdam, looks interesting to me. An immortal cop in NY (at least, I think that's the premise...I've only seen a couple of commercials for it so far).

And, while I haven't watched all of the episodes, How I Met Your Mother, is usually fun...

Take care all -

I'm with ya, there. I've been burned on so many new shows that get canned just when I'm getting interested, or a show that I only discover halfway through the season only to find out it was already canned and they're just airing the final few.

I wait now, either to see if it gets renewed so I can play catch-up on DVD, or see if it gets poop-canned, then check it out on DVD. Right now I'm having more fun getting out-of-my-region DVD's from the UK and watching things we can even get over here. The change is refreshing.

And there's always baseball.

I've been watching most of the Cubs games lately. GO CUBS!!! :)

Last fall, there were a couple of series that got canned 2-3 shows in....I swear, no matter what I watched, it got canned. Now, either, I really have bad taste in TV (which is possible-LOL), or some TV producers should start paying me to either 1) not watch their shows, 2) watch their competitor's shows, 3) both.

Hmmmm.....if only that was possible...

;)

I've been mostly reading over the summer.

But when I do watch anything it is reruns of Medium which I couldn't watch during the regular season because it was on at the same time as Lost.

And we've been watching the DVDs of Season one and two of 24. Now we're up to Season three. I got hooked on Jack Bauer.

The only new show I watch in the summer is The 4400. Prison Break in the fall, and SVU from time to time. Most of the time I watch old or obscure stuff. Journeyman is a new show coming this fall-it sounds like a weird cross between Early Edition and Quantam Leap.

I posted another thread about Homicide Life on the Street. I usually have dvd marathons in the summer. Who has the time for anything else?

Who is she? I can't place where I've seen her (and I really haven't tried to find out...) but yea, I can see how she'd be irritating.

I will try and catch the encore...hopefully.

Did you catch the 2 episodes of Smith last Fall? Oh man, such potential!!! And 20 Good Years with Jeffrey Tambor and John Lithgow .... 8 episodes and it was fantastic!!!

And, while I haven't watched all of the episodes, How I Met Your Mother, is usually fun...

Take care all -

I absolutely love my Monday night TV on CBS.
