Has anyone picked up a copy of The Mark by Jason Pinter?

I bought a copy last week and OMG the prologue alone was enough to drag me in...can't wait to read the rest. :)

Tremendous book. One of the slickest thrillers I've read in a long time.

I like a good book, i'll check it out, by the way what's it about?lol

It's about a guy who gets framed for a murder he didn't commit.

The best thing about the book isn't the plot, which has been done a million times before. The best thing about the book is the MC, who is just fantastic.

I'm on the last few pages. I found it a good story, but not great. It will likely appeal to younger folks more than people my age, since the main characters are in their twenties.

I do think the author has a great future as he matures.

Here's Jason Pinter's blog, which I think is one of the best writer's blogs out there.

Killer Year is a group that Pinter, Bret Battles, and JT Ellison (I believe that's right) put together to create exposure for debut thriller writers. Not sure if they're going to get togther a Killer Year '08 or not.

I can definitely see that. There are a lot of pop culture references in the dialogue, most of which worked for me.

This is selfish of me, but wish there were more thrillers written for the twenty-/thirtysomething crowd. As it is, thrillers are mostly written by and aimed at a much older demographic. Nothing wrong with that, obviously. One of the coolest books I've ever read is Donald Westlake's Ax, and Westlake must have been in his sixties when he wrote that novel. And of course Elmore Leonard has always been one of the hippest writers in the business.

But I do feel at times as if I'm being left out when I peruse the mystery shelves, and this is one of the reasons I wrote my novel. I wanted to give readers like me something different.
