Hi all! My agent asked me to supply five copies of each manuscript of mine she is representing. We are gearing up for next weeks submissions. What is the proper format of Children's manuscripts. Is it Name and word count on left hand side, title in the middle, then manuscript starting on same page? Do I need a cover with title in the middle and nothing more? Help!

Hi BrookieCookie,
I'm really not sure what the standard style is for submitting children's manuscripts. I write nonfiction, so I sell in with proposals rather than completel manuscripts.

When I submit mine to my agent, she asks for a title page, a TOC, then the proposal, competition, author's expertise, detailed chapter outline, and sample chapters.
That's what I send her and she does the rest.
