Sorry for the inane question, but is there a way to respond directly to rep point comments? I could swear I've done it before, but can't figure out how to do it again (short of sending a PM, of course).

Thx! :)

you click the little button at the bottom of someone's member-box:
http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/images/buttons/reputation.gif and just rep them back, is what I usually do. :)

I wish there was a way to just directly rep them from their rep point...but, if there is, I can't figure it out.

Tech! Can we get tech support in here? Come one guys, make it happen! What're we paying you for? Oh, we don't pay you? Never mind then. :D

Thanks Mac! I must've hallucinated the reply feature on rep ponts. :)

Yeah, is there? Sometimes I'm repping back, but I have to go to another thread or post where that person is, and I'll bet the comment in the rep doesn't make sense to the recipient.

Am I making sense???!

Yes, you are. But no, there isn't. The best thing to do is maybe find a post by the same person in the thread where you got the rep point.

Or just give them a rep point the next time you see one of their post that you like. And, you can always send them a PM.

Yup, been there, done that. Thanks!

It's kind of like a scavenger hunt - only sometimes I forget who I've repped. Makes it all the more an adventure! :D

There isn't alas. And it's not an easy thing to write.

To we TechNoNots - how would we know what was difficult to write in HTML or not?

You wouldn't; so I told you. I was being helpful.

Me too! I actually clicked to rep a post today only to be told I couldn't rep a post twice. Which was mildly intriguing, being as I didn't exactly remember repping it the first time. I'm hoping I had a psychotic break and proposed marriage, or something equally asinine.
