That's my suggestion. I feel that names should mean something, and since I don't know anything about the character, I'm afraid I can't try to name her for you.

Born in the sixties, or grew up in the sixties?
If you mean she was born in the fifties, and was a teen in the sixties, then Sherri, Lynda, Judy, Melanie, Grace, Pamela, Vicki, Janet, Cheryl, Brenda, or the name of any of the movie/TV star who were big in the fifties.

My sisters and step-sisters were born in the sixties. Their names are (Sisters) Denise and Nicole, and (Step-sisters) Karla and Michelle.
I hope this helps you out, Kimmi.

Names don't mean squat, it's the character's character that matters. So in trusting to my tried and true method of and excel sheet with randomly generated names, I came up with:
Angel Burrows

I have a friend who was born in the Sixties, who has a rare variation of that name. Aside from her, I've never known anyone with this spelling, but I understand that she's not the only one with it.
The spelling is 'Lesa'.

If she was born in the late sixties AND her parents were hippies, then names like Rainbow or Moonflower.
Otherwise, for names popular in the US, go here (http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/) and scroll down to Popular Names by Birth Year.

Check your email spam -- some of the names there are really incredible!!!! I also encountered a person names Velvet Coffin -- you're dealing with a time frame where anything went as far as names, especially stuff related to nature.
Sonya, Samantha, Tanya, Tania, Valerie, Veronica, Elizabeth, Jane, Emily, Anna, Wendy, Vicky, Heather, Helen, Meredith, Karleen, Leanne, Leoni, Mandy, Amanda, Fiona, Alison, Cathryn, Kate, Kerry, Trudy, Megan, Melanie, Denise, Marcelle, Felicity, Tracy, Cindy, Margaret, Maryanne, Fiona, MacAllister...

Wait a minute. Hmmm.... kimmi, she's a child of the sixties--meaning she's a teenager during that time or was she born during that time? That would make a difference in the naming. And I'm assuming the middle to later part of the sixties.

LOVE Zelda. Reminds me of Poltergeist (Zelda Rubenstein) and Pet Semetary (Rachel's sister). And F. Scott's crazy wife, of course.

I think it's a cool name too. I usually think of the Princess of Hyrule when I hear that name, myself.

Sarah! Yes! Ethereal-sounding, sweet, could be sixties-style....
If I had had a girl, her name was either going to be Sarah or Julianne. (Of course, that was late eighties and into the early nineties.)
ETA: Okay, kimmi. I chose the name for your character. Has to be Sarah. (Only kidding. Really. I'll stay calm if you don't use that name.:D )
