MySpace bands

Since the music forum seems a little slow today, I figured I'd pimp some friends' MySpace music pages.

My good friend Aaron is the lead singer of Resolve to Burn - a Sacramento heavy rock band that's blowing up. I've been in bands with Aaron before, but this is his best one by far. He's been grinding it out in the local rock scene for so long he deserves some big success.

My friend Stevie Scott is a pop singer who made it to the top 24 on American Idol and is currently grinding it out in LA. I've known her since she was little and played in a band with her dad for years and played with Stevie a few times, including her first album.

Throw some love their way if you're so inclined. Gotta love the comitted few who are giving everything for their art. If you've got friends with music to pimp, here's the thread.

Other than being a MySpace friend with this band (and the fact that we live in the same city) I don't know them, but I really like their stuff... check out Obadiah Parker especially their cover of Hey Ya.

I'm the guitar player with the red es-335. The really hot player is the other guy. We all have different backgrounds, (mine's in jazz) so the music is pretty eclectic. I do a lot of the songwriting, and we're basically a live bar band--the songs posted were all from a live practice session in a basement.

I really like your band's music, rugcat, and hear a lot of different influences. "In the Night" compares nicely to a Pretenders song to me. I love the sound of the Hammond organ in some of the other songs, too. Thanks for providing the link!

I'll bite. A few friends are getting together and recording some of their songs, and they hope to land a deal as soon as they've got more songs. Here is some of their stuff. They are called Broken Apple but I'm still not sure why.
