View Full Version : what color is the eye of a jackal? Does anyone know?

Hi Guys,
I've been researching to try to find a close up pix of a jackal to see what color the eyes are. Does anyone know, or know where to find a good closeup of the eyes? Thanks.

Thank you for the link Rumple Tumbler, I'll start going through them. the pictures are small and it is hard to get an eye color but maybe one will be in there. Thanks for the quick response.

Green, but only guessing. Most cats eyes are green, except those really fluffy cats with blue eyes.

A jackal is in the canine family, not the feline.

Click on the pictures (sometimes more than once) and they will get bigger. :)

Wow, James, I spent all day looking for something that clear and close up. They do have an amber or gold/yellow look to them, maybe with some brown. Now do you think all Jackals have the same color eyes, since dogs, cats and people can have blue eyes? I was under the impression that jackals had blue eyes, but so far I haven't been able to find, read of or verify yes or no. Huskies have blue eyes, some, and some have one brown and one blue. Thanks to you both for jumping in to help with this question. You guys on the cooler are great!!!

I tried that once but nothing happened. Maybe I didn't click enough on it. That will help a lot too if I can get them bigger as some were looking straight at the camera but too small. I'm going to try that now.
