I am going for a day at the races on Saturday to Haydock which is North by Northwest England and have been looking through the race cards. To my excitement the horse Scriptwriter is down to run in the big race. I start the day with a Breakfast at Tiffany's and after looking out of my Rear Window at all this Rain man, Duck soup will be the order of the day. The lads I am going with are all Goodfellas but last year coming home on the coach they were The Wild Bunch and 12 angry men when the coach wouldn't start and some were left Singing in the rain to the train station. They had a Dog day Afternoon but It wasn't too bad for me because I thought it was A wonderful life when my two main fancies American beauty and Lawence of Arabia both came in at 33/1, I sometimes think I've got a Sixth Sence. I hailed a Taxi Driver and headed off down Chinatown and met up with my two mates Bonnie and Clyde and finished the night off at the Casino Royale. This year I would have to be a Psycho not to back Scriptwriter and at the odds of 14/1 I just might have enough to book a Roman Holiday. I just hope it doesn't turn out to be a Groundhog day for my mates and all my money to be Gone with the wind!

It'll be a Long Good Friday when the day comes that I'll ever win at the races.

I think I know that Scriptwriter horse.

Isn't he a Black Stallion that is also a Black Beauty that won at Brazil and Nashville in 1984? I remember that she was Breaking Free from the far lane when her Jockey, Mr. Ed, decided to wait and take take the less difficult route on the last inside turn. I guess that is why they call him an Easy Rider.

I won't get to see my Local Hero Scripwriter in the flesh now, the race meeting has been called off due to all this Rain. I was like a Raging bull when I first found out and all I have now is a memento. We have now changed our plans and are heading On the waterfront where there is brilliant Pianist. Two of the usual suspects have now cried off, one is going Trainspotting and the other has to look after his sister Rosemary's baby, it's just as well because he drinks like a Big fish and he said it would end up like The lost weekend. I will just have to wait for Scritwriter's next run to sniff the Sweet Smell of Success :D

I doubt it's a horse that won a race over 20 years ago. When they get too old, They Shoot Horses, Don't They?

I have been Home Alone (http://www.bbc.co.uk/films/2000/12/04/home_alone_1990_review.shtml) lately recovering after one of my workmates nearly sliced my arm off with a Saw (http://www.bbc.co.uk/films/2004/09/24/saw_2004_review.shtml). To perk me up I have Great Expectations (http://www.bbc.co.uk/films/2007/01/29/great_expectations_2007_review.shtml) this afternoon with Scriptwriter running in the big race of the day at York.
