Okay, I put this here b/c I have an odd request (and I have recently learned that ya'll are... um... different, yeah... haha)
But, in all seriousness- I have a short (under 2,000 words) nonfiction piece (about a bird) that I would like someone(s) to look at. I was going to post it under share your work, but it is too personal for a public forum.
That said, it stands to reason that I do not want to share it with just anyone- not yet. If you are interested in reading and crit-ing, please PM me. Please do not PM me if you just want to read my story (there will be a chance for that later), but if you honestly want to help me shape it.
So, on to the story. It is a nonfiction piece about a tragic experience I had when volunteering at a wildlife rehab center. Not for the faint of heart. It is just a 1st draft, and I am interested in getting some general advice/feedback on the flow and direction of my short story. I'm emotionally involved in the tale so it is hard for me to judge it.
I prefer applicants who are willing to look at later drafts as well.
I feel very odd making this request, but that brings me back to point number one... so I guess that sums it up.
Cheers,
Christina
