Pull a Paris?

All right Kimmi, quit sniffing the ink we all know Paris is highly talented. Sorry you’re frustrated. I’ve been there with my own WIP, but haven’t hit the submission process yet. Hang in there. Here’s a Margarita to settle your nerves.

My husband was joking around and said I should fake my own death. It would make my books more valuable. All that comment did was get my son and me bouncing ideas about a story where a woman fakes her death. We were on a car trip, and my poor tortured hubby had to listen to over an hour of plot and character discussions. But I now have a new WIP!

I guess I missed the whole point of this thread. somewhere past the Paris bashing there must be a reason for this post.

Kimmi, if you're writing fiction, you don't need to worry about platform (yay! Isn't that good news? )

If you're writing non-fiction... well, platform helps. Are you writing non-fic? And if so, what's your subject matter?

"Platform" is what qualifies you to talk about your topic. It can also refer to any built-in audience you may have, like, for example, if you run a blog and get half a million hits a week... or if you're a nationally syndicated columnist... fun stuff like that.

If you're willing to spill what you're working on, I might be able to elaborate further.
