Final Cut...

Does anyone know if there is a version of Final Cut that will work on the PC in a windows environment, or is it a Mac platform only program?

I'm stuck with windows so if Final Cut isn’t available for windows what are my alternatives?

I can't remember the version, but I definitly had one on my pc about 7 years ago, so I'm sure you can still find a version floating around that will work. Great program by the way.

Hmm, I always thought Final Cut was Mac only. As far as alternatives for the Windows platform, Adobe Premiere is the first that comes to mind.

I suggest Avid Express. I haven't used it in a while and when I did it was kind of a frustrating program (but a couple versions have come out since then), but if you have any pretensions to working in the industry in any way it at least teaches you how to use Avid.

While I've always found Premiere to be a fine program, no one in the industry uses it at all and it teaches you a lot of bad habits. It's practically impossible to learn to edit on an Avid if you're coming from Premiere...
