Ninjas!

Inspired by Preyer's "hook me in 20 words or less" over in the Sci Fi SYW forum...

If you can hook me, I'll give ya a rep point. Must be about ninjas, or imply there will be ninjas in the near future (someone gets assassinated, there's a shuriken buried in the wall, etc). One sentence, no word limit. But no run on sentences, please!

Yoshin stood alone in his study. After speaking to the police today he knew to expect an assassin tonight. The Hiroto Family was quite fond of the ninja as an instrument of fear and intimidation. He gripped the hilt of his great grandfathers samuri sword. This ninja was expecting to find a helpless business man not a studied samuri, and that was Yoshin's advantage.

OK, more then one sentence, but I got on a roll.
