Typical word count for early reader chapter books?

Does anyone know what the "typical" word count for books like The Magic Treehouse series by Mary Pope Osborne or the Secrets of Droon Series by Tony Abbott.

I have an idea for a series, but I really don't have an idea oh how long each novel should be. Most of the chapter books I've read seem to like to have ten chapters, but some chapters are longer than others.

Anyone have a WC range?

The Magic Tree House Series run anywhere from 5-12K. According to SCWBI, easy readers should be about 20 pages (5,000 words) and chapter books should be from 40-60 pages (10-15K words)

you're welcome DTK. Oh, and the Secrets of Droon books are all around 12-15K.
