'Ello 'Ello
I've been fairly quiet on the forums the last few months. Life has been beezy. I'm an active blogger and I'm an aspiring writer.
I'm 15,000 words into my 80,000 word action/thriller. The biggest hurdle I seem to have is just keeping myself on task... and, I get into spots where I need to think through what I want to happen. I've found that it works best when I have someone to bounce ideas with.
My novel is based in the Amazon rain forest. If you like Preston & Child, Rollins, David Gibbins - my hope is that my book will appeal to those readers.
I enjoy reading historical romance, paranormal romance, fantasy, and then action/thrillers.
What I'm hoping to find is: Someone who is also in development of the first draft of a current WIP. Ideally, the person would like to read the genre I'm writing in... and he or she would be writing in one of the genre's I'm a bit of a fanatic about (so that I could provide the most help). I am not necessarily looking for someone to be my editor buddy, I don't quite need that yet. I'm looking for someone who can spot those weak plot spots, comments to help me develop a character, someone that will know my story and can chat with me about ideas I have. In return, I would do the same thing. I would jump into his or her story and provide the same type of comments, questions, and suggestions to help make the story stronger.
I am just looking for one individual right now, not necessarily a critique group yet. I'm in it for as long as it takes.
Well, I've gone on probably enough. If you think you'd be interested, send me an email or pm through the forums and tell me about yourself, what you are writing and what you'd like to get from a writing partner.
Cheers,
ME
