Somebody gets a rep point.

Hey does the recorder count? Bon Scott right? Wait a sec... add Freddie Mercury and Rob Halford. Okay that's four.

not exactly rock, but Ron Burgundy plays a mean jazz-fusion flute... and fusion is mostly just jazz rock. So he's kind of a rock flautist.

Ian Anderson is awesome. Others are:

Peter Gabriel -- his flute gave early Genesis tunes much of their ethereal quality.

Burton Cummings -- his short 'n sweet solo on the original recording of She's Come Undone was great, and even decades later (link), he can still pull it off.

I didn't know a rock could play a flute. Most of the ones I see just sorta...lay there....like...um, rocks.

Which begs the question: What is blacbird smoking and why isn't he sharing?
