I know this is more of an aside than anything, but I felt like sharing. In the last 2 days I not only received a birthday card from the staff at Samhain Publishing, but I also received a personal email from my editor wishing me a happy birthday. I thought that was the sweetest thing.
On top of that, I went to my local Waldenbooks and lo and behold, I found an entire shelf of books by Samhain. My DH said, "It's your birthday, so go ahead and get whichever you want." So while I was doing that, he spoke with someone to try to get me a signing for when my book comes out in print.
It was SUCH a good day. Just thought I would share.
