Hi all!

Jenny Bent requested a partial this morning for my novel, Was It Planned? I nearly fell over in my chair when I read the email as I just sent her an email query late last night.

Anyway, her assistant asked I email the partial or send it expedited mail. I want to give my 1st three chapters one last quick read through before I send them off--do you guys think it would be OK to send the partial via email on Friday or should I send it immediately?

Thanks in advance!!

You'll feel better if you take one more pass, and it'll still get there faster than it would by expedited mail. I'd play it cool and give it one more day.

Congratulations! I would say read through it. Otherwise, you'll read through after you send and if you find anything you should change, it'll be too late. Today's Wednesday, two days isn't going to hurt anything. IMO

If they like it on Wednesday chances are they'll like it on Friday. Remember, for all the agent knows, you might not have even read the email until Friday.

Well done! I'm sure you can take an extra day or two. Make sure it's the best it can be, and GOOD LUCK!!

LOL!
Sorry, but I think agents know that writers with queries out check their emails at least every 15 minutes.

But yeah, waiting a day or two is fine. Just get it to her before the weekend.

Well, in my case, every 10 minutes. But I wouldn't cancel a vacation over it.

(Luckily, I use yahoo.com for the mail so its easy to check even if I am not at home.)
