Well, as you can see by the date I opened this first in April. I left it up for a few weeks and no one responded so I just figured there was already too much Haiku going on for anyone to be interested in yet another one.

But, here it is again if you want to do it:

A Year in Haiku - write 4 Hiaiku having to do with the seasons of the year. I wont specify syllable count, use what you have learned and are comfortable with. I believe there is a difference, but it's not worth debating. Everyone has their own opinion and sources to site, so just write and have fun!

rainy days
before life begins
thaw winter’s chill

***

heat vapors rise
baked blacktop roads
little feet scurry

***

leaves fall down
gutters fill and pack
rain comes

***

chilly morning
ducks call overhead
leave icy pond

summer born I live
forever craving its warmth
unhappy with half

autumn leaves me sad
reminding me of what's next
I brace premature

winter hides my paths
my options are limited
but then always were

spring alone hopeful
but my life spent on worry
leaves me old for it

only last winter
colors fade, breath slows, cold comes
all things living end

cool breeze
green blades quiver
in tree's shade

weight of the air
before a thunderstorm--
crickets pause

sharp air
warmed with
apple pie

before my iced nose
a breath
of cloud
