I am in a catch twenty-two! I am going to submit an article to do with my book to some magazines, so my author platform has some oomph however, how can I mention my book when it has not been published yet?

I am wondering if the article gets accepted that they would write I am looking for an agent...or, that my book is in the process of being published.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do?
Thanx in advance.

I had an article published in a writing magazine at a time when I had not yet sold my book. In the credentials section, they just described me as the author of the book, which was true. Then, in the place where they would have put a picture of the cover of my book, they put a copy of a manuscript page instead. It all worked out and it was a great credential for me. So it can be done. Good luck.

You don't have a book--you have a manuscript. Your bio could be something like "X is currently working on a book about xxx."
