Saw this on reddit. Such a great article. I know most of y'all know these 'rules', but it's always nice to get a refresher.

Anyone else have links to really useful articles on writing (besides Uncle Jim's of course).

Nice refresher. I didn't even know Orwell was still alive and blogging. ;-)

I'm not sure if the "no jargon" rule applies to writing humorous SF, as well, part of the humor is in making up more jargon.

In the bookstore on the weekend, I saw a little chapbook by Orwell called "On Being A Writer". I would have got it, but they wanted $10.
