First of all, I know it is "AP Style" to use only one space after a period at the end of a sentence. But that's newpaper writing -- is it usually one space or two after a period in a book/manuscript?
OK, this has bugged me forever: Do you put an end-of-sentence period right after an acroynm-period? It just looks weird to me, but what else could one do? For example: "He said I should go back and ask the U.N.."
Thanks in advance!
