Hello. :)

Um ... yeah. Not too good at this whole introduction thing. I mean, I guess it's fine, but it seems like such a complex procedure. So I'll just try to introduce myself, and before you know it, this will end up to be a complicated, overly-long post. Let's do it!

I'm 17-years-old and live in Thunder Bay, ON, Canada. I'm a writer, which you would probably have inferred from the fact that I joined this board. I'm currently looking to get my first novel published and working on my second. I like to write (and read) science fiction and fantasy; my novel is epic fantasy.

Other than writing and reading, I spend most of my time on the computer in one capacity or another, surfing the Internet, programming, etc. Not much else to say.

I found this place while Googling names of agents and publishers from 2007 Writer's Market and 2007 Guide to Literary Agents in order to find third-party opinions on them. Looks you have a nice resource here, and also a burgeoning community to boot.

I'm more likely to lurk than post, since I'm just too lazy to be active in large communities like this one. :D

Mmm ... not as long as I feared it might be. Good. Anyway, nice to meet you all.

That wasn't too long. You included barely any of your life history.

Welcome to AW. :)

Welcome! Welcome! Come on in.

We've got a nice cosy fire burning here - and plenty of marshmallows to toast if the urge takes you. Just relax and make yourself at home. :)

Amen to that, PeeDee. I mean, sheesh, we have no idea of favorite color, types of music most appreciated, or the ever-important hat size.

I have been to Thunder Bay, but I can no longer find my souvenir sweatshirt. Do you recommend another visit?

Maryn, glad to have you join us

Depends on how far away you live and how inconvenient such a trip would be.

We have quite a lot to recommend for tourists who are looking for a good balance between the "quiet, rural" feel and the "bustling urban metropolis" motif. I quite recommend Fort William Historical Park, which is a recreation of the Fort William trading post from the fur trade era. There's good tours by in-character guides and lots of fun stuff.

We also have great cuisine, such as the "Persian" (honestly it's a bun with some pink icing, pretty over-glorified, but eh) and some fine Finnish food at the Hoito. I don't know. There's lots to do in Thunder Bay--nothing huge and amazing like giant roller coasters, but enough that a short trip would be worthwhile, I think.

P.S.: Yellow (nominally), classical and rock, and no idea.
