Hi Everyone:hi:
Just signed up and can't wait to get involved.
I love reading and I love writing.
I love the feeling I get when I get "lost" in writing....you know, when you look at the clock and realize you've been writing for hours, but it seems like only five minutes?

But I think I am too darn sensitive- so i gotta get over that.
Is anyone else here ever afraid of showing your writing to others?
Anyway, I am glad to be here and hope I meet some great people!

First, welcome!

Second, don't be afraid! These are some of the kindest, most helpful folks around - the number one rule here is 'respect your fellow writer'. I bet you'll find all the help in the universe and nothing to be afraid of...

As long as you avoid TIO (Take It Outside). :)

Hidee Ho, Welcome to AW. Don't worry none, we were all afraid at one point or 'nother. Just keep applying the wax, and before you know it, you'll have that hard candy shell all us writer-type people need :)

Hey, Welcome!

I'm more afraid to show others my writing when it's not complete. When it's complete and I'm very satisfied with what I've written, it's not as bad.

Hi Brandy! Welcome!

I've had 16 books published and I still get nervous every time I turn something in... "Oh, wow. Someone's going to *read* this. I hope it doesn't stink." Totally normal. I think. :)

Hi Brandy! :welcome: to AW. I just checked out your blog and read about your son's Remember Me picture, and I got all choked up while I was reading. What a beautiful story! He sounds like he has a heart of gold.:LilLove:

I'm part of the haven't-posted-my-work-yet group, and I've been on board for three months now. Someday I'll work up the courage!

Looking forward to getting to know you.:)

Thanks!

Wow!
Thanks everyone, I feel so welcome.
I had to sign out earlier, so didn't get back on til now and it was awesome to have so many people say "hi" and know I am not the only one who hesitates about showing writing!

Welcome to the boards, Brandy. The nervousness you feel about showing others your work never completely goes away, but it does fade with time.

:welcome: smileyfacegirl75.

You'll love it here. You have nothing to fear. You'll receive a lot of help and guidance; all you have to do is ask.

There's so much to learn,
and so much to see.
It's a wonderful place -
a great place to be. ;)
