Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this forum and want to introduce myself. (I just posted a query to be critiqued and hindsight tells me I should have first stopped in right here, I apologize!)
I am a Southern girl that is living in China. Our supposedly 18-month assignment for my husbands job has just hit four years-- as of tomorrow. (Which by the way is my ex-husbands birthday, what a gift for your ex-wife to move to China on your birthday, huh guys?)
We are going to be headed back to the states this summer, for we have had enough of the exciting life here and miss good 'ole Southern hospitality, food and the warm temps.
I have had quite the life here and of course, have written about it. My story is about my work at the local orphanage and all that I have seen and dealt with. It is a memoir written from my journal entries and is very full of raw emotion, with some humor intertwined about our forays into the local life. I am so green that I am hoping that I can get some help along the way to guide me through the processes of publishing.
Anyhow, this wasn't meant to be a marketing message- just a friendly hello and I look forward to get to know you all more in the future.
K
