In the critique section I had a poem getting all sorts of interpretations, all understandable ones, but for some reason with this piece, I broke and said my interpretation. I have to tell you before going further, when a poem is done, it's done, and it isn't like the umbilical cord has been cut, it's like I cut the cord of someone else's baby. So mainly, I am a reader with everyone else, and the poem is only partly mine; maybe I am its godfather (

So I offered up the most basic of interpretations, completely objective, so if anybody is interested, the poem is at the top of the thread called 5:59 a.m. and about 14 posts down or so is my interpretation (it is not a breakdown of word by word choices or anything pedantic, not an attempt at lame academic talk, simply a straightforward crit like we all give each other here). You also can see the others which might be interesting.
So, I think it could be cool to see what anyone willing thinks, not just for me but for us all, to see how diff interpretations can be. And I'd like to reiterate, I am a bit biased, but not as much as one would assume. I really only take part credit for everything I write b/c most the time the poem leads the way, not me.
