I'm still new to this board, so I'm sorry if this answer is posted somewhere else. What's the protocol for sending your query letter or proposal to agents and publishers? Do you just send one out and wait for a response or do you send multiple letters out to multiple agents/publishers at the same time? Thank you.

Query widely (multiple targets), and exhaust your agent search before approaching publishers. You may want to stagger your queries, say 10 at a time, and wait for a few responses (or wait a few weeks) before sending out the next batch, in case agents give you personalized feedback on your idea.

I wouldn't shotgun any more than 5-10 at a time. Quite often a Dynamite Query evolves into a Can'tMissDynamite Query. You don't want that to happen after you've already sent the original to 163 agents in a furious, 10-day blitz.
