Hello, I am new here. :snoopy:

I hope I can have a small amount of faith from everyone. I made what may have been a mistake and had a book of poetry published by PA. I know how many of us feel, including reviewers and major publishers, about PA. Truth be told, if I hadn't went to prison the day after I recieved my contract, I probably never would have signed it. And I would have taken a little more time. But what is in the past is in the past. So please, before you judge me by one error in judgement, check out my site, and see that I truly can write! :flag:

smsarber, Welcome. So glad you are here. I think you will find that no one will judge you, and in fact welcome you with open arms. I don't go in the PA threads much, because I don't have much advice or experience in the area, but I know that this place is a haven for many PA authors. Here is to a positive future, yes?

Teenage Angst

I took a straigh trazor

And carved into my leg

"Why can't I get attention?

Please! I cannot beg."

My young life crashes down

Or so is my perception

I use any release I can

I'm running hot like the sun

Don't talk to me now!

I'm not ready for your pity

I'll wander aimlessly

A frightened child alone in the city

Please talk to me now!

My silent screams ring out

Oh, why can't I open up to you?

Why is it every time I try I shout?

I guess I'll take this bottle of pills

My pain will end so soon

My mind is so confused

Like every night's a full moon

Now that I'm gone

I see all who cared

Oh, God! Now regret sinks in

I wish my life was spared

Now everything is foggy

I wake, realize it's not true

A feeling of peace inside

What happened? I haven't a clue

Back to sleep in my warm, cozy bed

Knowing I'll wake to start again

A never ending amusment park ride

Let the excitement begin.

That was written after I viewed a story on the news about teen suicide, and self-mutilation among teen girls.

A very serious issue that still troubles me. I pray this poem may help someone who needs it.
