Greetings from... Poland?

Hey, Everyone-

I've been lurking for ages and, as I finally decided to start participating in the discussions here at AW, I figured I should post a bit of a 'hi, I don't bite and hope you don't, either' message. ;)

I write and post online as Rhea, which is my pen name. I'm Polish (and so is my real name, which makes it unpronounceable for most of you ;)), I live in Poland, write in English, work at a day job as a graphic designer, and I want to be a published writer when I grow up.

...scratch that. I'm 25, and if I haven't grown up yet, I never will.

Writing novels (fantasy) in English is what I'd be doing full-time, were it a viable option. I'm currently ~90k words into a novel which, I hope, might finally be good enough to land me an agent at some point within the next year. I'll probably ask for help a lot as I'm making my way through that process, and I hope I'll be useful to some of you through my participation in the forum, too.

Anyway, because I'm rambling. :D Good to be here, and I'm looking forward to exchanging posts with you from now on.

(I confess I used an online translator and have no idea if it's accurate. I welcomed Rhea and told her that if anyone smelling vaguely fishy stole her perogies and ran away laughing it wouldn't be me.)

aka_eraser, your Polish grammar (okay, not yours, the translator's :p) leaves a bit to be desired. Heheh. But I'm glad to be here, too! Thanks!

oarsman - the weather's quite awful. -12C below zero and windy. Nothing offensive, no worries. And it's nice to meet you, too.

My wife is half polish and her maiden name is quite the mouthful of consonants. I can understand where you coming from. :)
