Mattie Stepanek, Blue Mountain, Angelou

An opinion is subjective. And so is poetry. Writing from the heart and writing with the passion as these poets have, well that makes it very real. Maya Angelou is one of my favorite poets - her poems are revealing and honest - they speak of pain as she has known it.

Mattie Stepanek is a child prodigy - a young poet who graced the world with his words and left the world much too soon.

Blue Mountain Arts - well I have a personal interest there. I have many publications with BMA - their anthology books contain poetry from first time poets to renowned poets as Edgar Allen Poe and Emily Dickinson, among others. And the poetry of Susan Polis Schutz (owner of BMA) - [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]over 12 million books have been sold containing her poems, and her poetry has been published in national and international textbooks, magazines, and newspapers. I totally agree with Cabria. She said just what I feel too. Maya Angelou, Mattie Stepanek and BMA are all top-notch. Maya Angelou's poetry is magical as are BMA poets, like Cabria.

I also have to agree with the ladies.
Maya Angelou is one of my favourite poets too, as is Susan Polis Schutz. Like Cabria I have written many poems for Blue Mountain.
It is all a matter of opinion. People might not think that is poetry, but others do. The thing about writing is, there is a market for all different kinds. Every kind, maybe. No one is trying to conform us into one single way of doing things.
