I was looking at the forums over at www.eharlequin.com, and I guess the winners of the Great American Romance Contest have been notified--at least one of them. She got a phone call day before yesterday.

Guess I'm not one of the three winners. Oh, well. I think I'll still try submitting the regular way.

Which reminds me Silhouette Romantic Suspense is looking for pitches online to their editors...I think the deadline is in about 2 weeks.

You know, I'm angry about that contest still. I had a MS picked out that I had targeted for the HA line, but when I went to read the terms and conditions I found out you had to be a resident of the US. I am an American living in England, hoping to write for Harlequin. I hope my address doesn't hinder any chance I have of publishing a HA.
Anyway, better luck next year and congrats for just having something ready to submit. Writing is torture, but we love it so.

Maybe you could say in your cover letter that you are an American?
