I could have made my usual New Year's Resolution that covered diet, smoking, being nicer, connecting with old acqaintances, etc., but not this year. It was a tirade directed at my daughter that inadvertently helped me decide on my newest resolution, but, that is a story for another time.
This year I made one that has lurked in my heart as a wish for decades. I resolved that I would share my stuff with others.
If you're reading this, then you know what stuff I allude to: reams of tidbits and longbits that are written down because you can't take its rolling around in your head anymore. Of course, once you wrote it down it was replaced with yet another "what if?" or " I wonder what" or ... well you get the idea.
I am looking forward to adding many virtual folks to my life who share my loves: I love to read, write, and speak. I love words in their simplest and most complex forms. I love the power they can have and give. Although I tend to write darker long pieces, and want to optimistic short pieces, I don't judge messages- I appreciate the abilities shown that create them!
I DO plan to try my hand at all the different types of writing and see which one I click with best. In advance I will thank you for your patience !
