Two weeks often means four weeks. It's always wise to expect replies to take twice as long as guidelines say they will. All sorts of things can slow an editor up.
And sometimes no news really is good news. Acceptances usually take longer than rejections.
I'm throwing my cap in with everyone else. Wait for a little while longer. Giving them a month from the time you submitted wouldn't be bad and then send them a polite email about the status of your short story.
I'm with everyone else on this - if you don't hear anything in 4 weeks, ping them to make sure they received it okay. Stuff gets lost in cyberspace sometimes. But it's more likely they are passing it around!
The Chick Lit Review? That's where I sent mine. It looks like a legitimate site, and Carole Matthews wrote a short story for them. They pay $50 for a story, but it's my first time sending anything in, so I'd happily take that!
