There are script books for The Office, v1 & v2, Fawlty Towers, and Absolutely Fabulous, v1 & v2. I recommend all of them, especially the Fawlty.

Hey Rainbow,

Try a search for My Family(BBC), Spaced(CH 4), Couples(BBC), Two pints of larger and a bag of Crisps(BBC), Father Ted(CH 4), Give my head peace(BBC Northern Ireland), I would avoid The Office, The Royale Family(BBC), League of Gentlemen(BBC). Of course you then have some classics like Porridge(ITV, I think), Open all Hours, Fawlty Towers, Steptoe and Son, which would never get made in todays PC world and I can't think of anymore off the top of my head, sorry.

You could also try the Channel 4 website....they have a writers link.

Sorry I can't be more help.

Regards

Bill

I second the Fawlty Towers scripts: they're a veritable masterclass in themselves.

You may find transcripts easier to get hold of online, a quick visit to Drew's Script-o-Rama and a click on "tv stuff" got me links to:

Black Adder:

Red Dwarf (if you're into Sci-Fi):

There's at least one Fawlty Towers transcript on http://www.mgnet.karoo.net/

I dunno if that helps. I wish BBC Writersroom would update its collection more often. :)
