I'm currently writting a story that starts in 440 B.C. I've made my own world, my own places, and my own races of people (which I consider fantasy). But the story is about religious beliefs, which results in a religious war between the nations. There's no magic in it, but it does involve the supernatural.

I call it Faith Fiction.

I'm just wondering what you would call it? (Religious novel? Fantasy?)

Revisionist history? If they're human, that is. Ah, but you said it was your own world...

Fantasy, I guess. Just as you said. The fact religion comes into their wars makes them sound pretty human to me!

Bolding mine. All of these things scream "Fantasy" to me. It doesn't sound like traditional high fantasy, but perhaps some other sub-genre.

I'd go with fantasy, as well. Fantasy can have religion too.
