Hello Fellow Writers,

I just left a job writing about politics in an Asian country to basically find out what I want to do with the rest of my life.

Writing international thrillers is my major ambition, but I'm also interested in nonfiction, screenplays, and even board games.
Over the next few months I hope to complete my first thriller - I've got 160 pages now - but the hard part will be finding an agent and a publisher, especially since I live in Asia and popping over to New York or London every few weeks isn't realistic.
In addition to my writing, I'll also be looking into business ideas involving food and art as possible sources of income.
And of course I hope to be checking in regularly with Absolute Write, whose inspirational e-zine I've been receiving for several years now.

Hi Enzo and welcome to AW. Luckily, there are plenty of agents that accept queries by e-mail, so you don't need to come to New York or London at all.

There's lots of good info about agents (good and bad) in the Bewares and Background Check forum.

Let us know if we can help.

:welcome: from somebody else in Asia! I bet your thrillers would have a political slant. Am I right?

Yes, you are, though the thriller I am writing now is not set in Asia, but around the Mediterranean - my favorite holiday destination. But my ideas for future thrillers are definitely linked with China, Taiwan and other Asian countries.
