Hey everyone. My name is David and I have a passion for reading and writing! Obviously, otherwise I wouldn't be here, right? I prefer Fantasy, but find myself enjoying (and occasionally writing) most other genres. I've written quite a few things over the past few years and, having recieved mostly praise on a non-writing forum for my work I decided to start posting here to see how other writers size my skill.

I work at Wal-Mart as an Assistant Manager, which consumes more time than I'd like to admit. But I don't mind, because I love my new job there.

I'm currently finishing the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman, which was recommended to me by my sister.

Umm...anything you want to know I will be more than willing to answer. Other than that, look forward to seeing you all around on the boards and learning from all of you!

Hey, welcome David! You're at the right place. You'll find lots of fun and plenty of ideas about writing. Feel free to share yours. Browse, lurk, post, comment on other people's writing (in Share Your Writing board). Guaranteed, it's a learning experience. I already read your post in the Book Club board and I answered. Welcome! Don't feel bad about spending all you time at work, I do it too! AW can be a great escape at the end of the day! If, after a long day's work you only have a moment to visit the board and don't have the energy to get sucked into a meaningful discussion, then head over to Office Party so some meaningless discussion!

Hello David,

I work at WalMart too. I'm in customer service. Work takes up all of my time as well. I usually write during my lunch and breaks. You'll be surprised how much you can get done in that short amount of time.
