*grumble*

My editor at BBT offered me a press pass and a shot at interviewing some of the guests. Unfortunately, it falls EXACTLY on the day that my sister is moving in with us, and so I can't go. I'm deeply bitter about it. I REALLY wanna go.

To me, that sister moving in with us, would be MORE of an excuse to go!

Well, I'll be signing in the Penguin Putnam booth (for Daw) from 5 until 5:45ish.

It was, but with my pregnant wife, I have to stick around. Who knows? Maybe something magical will change and I'll go.

And if I go, can I have an exclusive interview? :D

Oh yeah, I do believe going to a Comic Convention while pregnant wife (with the real job) stays home with sister moving in is grounds for divorce in 49 states.

Hm, it's that time again eh? It's across town from where I work... maybe I can sneak over for an hour or so during lunch.

I'll be going. I went last year for an afternoon--the selection of artists was pretty good, but the logistics were kinda bad in that the organizers were VERY ... unorganized ... and treated the fans pretty poorly; the "security" guards were like bouncers--but I hear they've figured out the logistics much better this time around.

I've got some friends coming in from out of town who are going as well. Should be pretty good. It's much more manageable than the San Diego comic-con, but bigger than most local shows.

Yeah, one of the companies I'm meeting with said that about the guards being really tough. It should be interesting.
