Our editor just called yesterday to tell Cie and I that Tor has made tote bags with OUR names on one side, and Sue Kearney's name on the other! They are planning to distribute THOUSANDS of them at conferences all over the world, and are trying to decide whether to see if they can be the official tote bag for RWA at National! I haven't seen them yet, but our editor says they're AWESOME (in fact, people are trying to steal them out of her office!)

EEEE!!

Now, here's the really cool part . . . for YOU GUYS! They're sending us several HUNDRED of the totes to do with as we will, so if any of you know of a small romance conference/retreat (like 50 or under) coming up this year that could use FREE totes, send me a PM or email and give me the information for the conference coordinator to contact. I'll even cover the postage if it's not overseas.

Way cool, Cathy! That's really awesome! :) I look forward to seeing some of them at various conferences!

Are you going to Dallas?

There's a relatively new Connecticut RWA chapter that's small and has a conference that probably meets those criteria. You could find the contact info at the main RWA site.

All the RWA Nationals I've attended have had the conference info on the tote, along with a publisher plug. None of them have plugged a specific title or author.

Your editor was blogging about them last week, and I debated whether to whine and plead for one. :) They sound very tasty.

How nice of you! My RWA chapter (Indiana RWA) is hosting a workshop on March 3. I don't know how many people are expected to attend, but I'll PM you the contact info.

Wow!! Makes me just a little disappointed that my agent is not pitching my fantasy as a paranormal so I could have a shot at your editor.;)

Congrats! That sounds so fun!

Uh... if my girlfriends and I sit around and eat icecream while re-reading your books can that count as a mini conference?

*flutters lashes*

:)

CONGRATS!!! That is so cool. Now I really wish I were going to RWA. Alas only RT this year. Does anyone else want to be Cathy when they grow up or is it just me?

You're in LUCK, Lila! :hooray: The publisher decided NOT to be the official tote at RWA, so instead, they could pass them out at the goody tables of BOTH RWA and RT (plus the American Library Association conference, to boot!) They're planning to put out a thousand at each convention!

They've arrived!

The tote bags arrived today! They are TOTALLY AWESOME! Had to take some pics so you could see. They're 10.5" wide and 14.75" long, made of plasticized fabric. The handles are even long enough for shoulder carry! Woo!

Here's side one (our June release):

And here's side two (Sue Kearney's July release):

:hooray: :partyguy:
