Hi. I'm Matt. I'm a CNC Programmer by day, and an "editor" by night. I'm also a father full time. (I used to be a teacher at night, but since having kids I don't like to be away from them. Writing from home seems like a much better (and funner) hobby for which I can get paid.)
I write for Creative Weblogging at a blog called Under My Helmet, where I discuss (mostly) family oriented motorsports, and I get paid a meager fee for my work. Well, they call it work, but it's not really work to me. Not yet anyway.
I also write at my own personal blog called The True Innocents, which is about my two boys.
I've been told by my father-in-law (a retired reporter for the San Diego Union Tribune) that I should try to start writing professionally. That's why I got involved with Creative Weblogging. I can get paid, and I can get exposure and experience, and perhaps even a 'personality', or 'voice'.
I'm an administrator at CNCzone.com, a hobby-cnc forum rapidly approaching 50,000 members, and a moderator at eMastercam.com, a forum with over 16,000 members.
