I’m getting ready to follow my calls up with post cards. I want my name out there and want to be aggressive enough to nail some clients, but I don’t want to annoy them either!
If the person isn't there, leave a voice mail and let them know when you will call them back. Follow up to ensure they received samples from you. Don't immediaetly cross them off your list if they say they never hire freelancers, lots of people say that. Just wait a while, send them a Christmas card sometime. They may change their mind. That's been my experience.
