go to www.copyright.gov (http://www.copyright.gov)and click on the copyright and trade mark office link... you'll find all you need to know there...

i'm currently in the us, but have spent a while in the uk now and again... on the www.imdb.com (http://www.imdb.com)forum you'll find several aspiring screenwriters in the uk [even a working one!] who post there regularly... welcome to aw!

good ol' trev, who's more or less based in the uk, despite having started out in la-la-land and working wherever they'll pay him to write a screenplay... a great example of the dedicated screenwriter, imo... while money's a must, to him it's more about writing...
