I am currently in my 28th. year of teaching High School English in a small NW Michigan community. I have numerous essays and a veritable treasure trove of stories to share. Now I seek a reliable venue to submit them to. Anyone have any ideas?

Do a search for markets that publish what you've written. Try the Writers Market, look online etc. I'm sure you'll come up with places. Good luck! 
Going back a few years, when I was in grad school (BC, University of Texas and University of Maryland) and a teacher but...
The University of Chicago puts out an excellent nuts and bolts type publication that is good even back in the 70's in terms of its materials and advice --was Pointer, Now Prevention of School Failure, both excellent.
American Teacher, Education Adminstrator are also good choices. Good luck.
