...DO it. But I've considered sending out a query for a new book called, "I Haven't Really Killed A Publisher For Rejecting Me Yet, But This Is How I Would Do It."
Whattaya think? Would it need a TV tie-in to fly?

Sour grapes, I'm afraid. Write a great book, find the right agent, and you won't have to send that query.

This sounds like the whole O.J. Simpson thing. He wrote a book detailing how he would have killed his wife if, of course, he'd been guilty. ;) There was a TV interview all lined up. Needless to say, it caused so much outrage, it got pulled. I don't think this one would go over any better. Just my two cents.

Agreed. One thing I've been learning over the last few years, is that all writers need to develop what is referred to as a 'Thick Skin'. It's basically a situation where you end up not taking rejection or bad reviews personally. You will find that the best people in the writing business are those who don't take things personally.

But to add to what CaroGirl is saying: if you write that great book, finding the right agent will most likely be difficult, but not impossible. What matters is that you find the right agent at the proper time to represent your book.

Instead of that, send out a query letter for "Seventy-five drinks of various alcoholic natures which I would buy for a publisher: A guide book."

I think Lindo was just having a bit of fun, relax people.

*I* got that it was a joke. Hmph.

Pee Dee, could non-publishers buy that book too? Sounds just inspired!

Sure, it sounds all inspired, but you don't know how much research went into writing it. And could you keep it down, please? I'm hungover.

Stop mumbling, Pete! I can't understand you when you're hungover.

Whattaya think? Would it need a TV tie-in to fly?

Or you could send a query for one called "Why Irony, Sarcasm, and Humor in General Require Alert Readers." And go for a really big TV tie-in. lol

Thanks, Ancient. I was about to give up on this whole forum.

On second thought, I've rewritten it to "How To Murder Editors Without Leaving a Trace" and am suggesting they buy the MS and suppress it so I won't put it on the internet.
